Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Kate and I would be a valuable asset to your animation production. For the past few years, I’ve divided my time working as a freelance illustrator and my goal of working in the animation industry, taking classes, and mastering current animation software. I am currently freelancing, but immediately available. I am highly motivated to begin working in animation.
Work History
2021 – 2023 Team Click, Illustrator (Freelance)
Created printable coloring activity sheets for marketing of home release of films to be used on various websites. Followed art direction, worked with studios’ requests for each assignment. Delivered ready to use final assets according to production timeline. Clients through agency include Marvel, Paramount, Nick Jr, and Lionsgate. Created coloring pages, Valentine’s Day Cards, Spot the Difference, Word Searches, and more. Deliverables were created primarily using Photoshop and Procreate.
2022 – 2023 SOIE – Sony PlayStation, Production Artist (Freelance)
Created digital art pieces for the Share Factory Studio app for PlayStation. Followed detailed art direction to match existing design, layout, and color guidelines. Collaborated with the creative team to develop new asset concepts for each themed project. Created final assets for the app to be used as frame overlays, stickers, and camera effects in app. Animated some assets to create short reusable animated loops. Utilized Photoshop and Illustrator to create original art based on provided instructions/guidelines. Maintained organized files in accordance with company procedures and ensured all work is completed within specified time frames per project requirements.
2018 – 2021 – Freelance Children’s Book Illustration
Created traditional and digital illustrations per client specifications. Illustrations included roughs, revisions, and final color art delivered digitally and meeting client deadlines. Projects included spot illustration, coloring pages, and children’s book Illustration.
2008 – 2019 Freelance Writing and Social media Content creation at HighlightsAlongtheWay.com and SanDiegoDealsandSteals.com. Created promotional content featuring client’s new products. Occasionally included content creation for various client’s sites and social media platforms. Tasks include – photography, printable creation, recipe creation, article writing, editing, and social media sharing, and on various platforms. Maintained multiple strict editorial calendars simultaneously.
1999 – 2007 Caricature artist for Southern California theme parks and private events.
